Your A and A’ took me by surprise – I hadn’t considered starting these couplets at that level. I’d have gone for a physical characteristic, like the cone or the needles. That said, the first thing that Hulten did in HIS key was… distinguish Gymnospermae from Angiospermae. Clever!! Go you!
When it comes to directions for the reader, you don’t need to say B or B’, etc. The whole B Couplet is simply known as B, and that would be sufficient to follow the key. This is correct, it’s just simpler to say B.
As for C… you will want to focus on a single, obvious physical characteristic. Since there can be size variations of flower on the same plant, it’s better to focus on the more obvious characteristic – which you also included. Go ahead and correct your key, then let me know so I can check it.
I like the bold lettering for the plant resolution – it really pops! Great job!

Your key is great! It is easy to follow, and I really like the way you differentiated the A couplet. The way you looked at the plants there is not something I would have thought of, especially since I had a difficult time differentiating out plant 1. I also like how you worded each couplet, made it easy to understand.
I do agree with Steph that your C couplet could be simpler and saying “or” isn’t needed as it is understood where to go next without it.Good job,

This looks good! As Steph and Paige both mentioned, I like how you designed couplet A. It’s different than most of the keys that I looked at and made it stand out. I also like how you wrote the actual plant answer in bold; it made it easy to read and understand!
