Oof! Not how I thought my plants would press. I like my Beardtongue pressing a lot more but definitely gave me insight on how I want to better press plants in the future. I used some wooden blocks, my nail polish box, and my tons of books for extra spice. The parchment like paper I used kinda liked my Sunflower a bit too much haha.
Nice work, please remember to add the author of the scientific name to your labels, so if it is Helianthus annuus, it would be Helianthus annuus L., I am not sure that this is Helianthus annuus though, as the head would be much larger 🙂
I definitely agree! It was hard for me to find this particular kind of sunflower that grows in Colorado. I’ll be sure to take a deeper look even post class so I can edit it in my plant journal! Thank you.
