Wow! This was so much fun to learn! I just went to the Midnight Sun Festival here in Fairbanks and the vendors had the cutest creations using dried flowers. I think I will be creating my own field plant press in the near future. The first picture is my make shift plant press I created with cut up cardboard, tie down straps, and leftover plywood board. I do not think it had long enough to fully dry out or it was not secured down tight enough. But for the first try, very fun activity! (Bonus picture, I included my plant press I made!)

I pressed these before going out of town for two weeks over the holiday. Couldn’t get to document them until today! These lovely specimens all came from my neighborhood
