I genuinely could not figure out how to combine all of my images into one post so I made multiple images and I will share all the links below. I also could not figure out how to make them “public” and it says that all of my posts are automatically made public since I have not upgraded on the website. I did this assignment to the best of my ability as I could not understand the interface of this website and found it extremely difficult to navigate with limited instructions. Below are images embedded of my dissections. I believe that by the time I got to the rose dissection, I got a bit better with the camera on my microscope, but overall some of these are blurrier than I would like and I am understand that might mean a small deduction in picture points. I thing the microscope I bought is GREAT for looking at things in real time, but in actually taking photos, it’s not the best. The setup i created to hold it still doesn’t work as well as what I can do with my phone.

Anyway, my four families are: Pea Family (clover), Evening Primrose Family (fireweed), Umbellifer Family (cow parsnip) and Rose family (prickly rose). This was a fun assignment and I learned a lot especially about identifying the stamens and other flower parts. I couldn’t find.

I couldn’t find anything that was fruiting, but I might have seen a rose hip from a different species so please let me know if you want me to add fruit and if you have suggestions. I also didn’t upload to thinglink because I was having trouble getting anything to stay permanent on the pictures, but let me know if I need to do that (online it says “other image annotation” is acceptable, so I think this will work.

Thank you to Steph the TA for the quick response to my questions even when you were recovering from illness, I really appreciate it. I wasn’t able to incorporate all of your feedback, but I really appreciate it and it was very helpful!
