I think that you did a great job on your dichotomous key. If I knew what the plants were I would identify them, however I believe that the flower with purple petals would be irises found in the wild.
Hi Anna! I think you did a good job of creating a dichotomous key. I was able to match the description to the plant. My only suggestion would be to try more descriptive language for a small challenge. Overall, it’s wonderful!

I like how your key flows, it’s easy to follow and each section leads into the next! I also like the with/without dichotomy you use on most of it. The one thing I’d change is taking out the yellow anthers part – I see where you were going with it and why you included it, but I think it’s sufficient to say with/without petals.

This is close. However, for the branches of a dichotamous key, there should only be one feature listed – one branch will have that feature, the other will lack it. Your B couplet has two features. Which one is right?
BTW, flowers have petals (or not), not pedals (bikes have pedals).
Other than that, this fits the bill very nicely! Good job!
Oopsie! I will definitely not confuse the two in the future! Thanks for catching it. I included the petal feature and got rid of the anthers.

I find your key to be pretty easy to follow and understand! I do, however, think it would be clearer if you only had one characteristic per branch. This way you can easy distinguish if that is a character or not of the plant, and therefore further identify it.

I think you did a great job! Your key was really easy to follow. I liked how you clearly showed the steps to find each plant. Just a small note, I noticed “pedals” was used instead of “petals,” but that’s an easy fix. Keep it up!

Your key is clear and well-organized! You might consider correcting “pedals” to “petals” throughout, and possibly adding scientific or common names of the plants at the end to make it even more informative. Great start!
